Across all our HMR State Veterans Homes, resident Veterans and their families will gather this Fourth of July as they do every year. Cookouts and celebrations bring together fellow Veterans, loved ones, team members, and volunteers to honor what makes this holiday, our nation’s 250th Independence Day, so meaningful.

These traditions have been part of a lifetime of memories for many of our resident heroes. They have celebrated Independence Day in different places, under various circumstances, and through many stages of life. But always with the feelings of camaraderie and dignity that we foster within our HMR homes.

This Independence Day is another chapter in their stories. Spending it among the men and women whose service helped preserve the freedoms we enjoy as a nation is nothing short of remarkable. Their experiences, their sacrifices, and the lessons they carry continue to shape those around them.

As we celebrate the Fourth of July, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who have served this country and to the families who stood beside them. We are proud to support Veterans and their families by providing the quality of life and independence they deserve.
