Colonel Robert L. Howard State Veterans Home is a 254-bed facility featuring skilled care, domiciliary care, and a dedicated memory care unit. Located over an hour outside of Birmingham, this home is arranged in a “small house” or neighborhood setting with a la town center and stone fireplace that brings an instant feeling of warmth and community. Veterans love to gather in the “Stars and Stripes Café” to share a beverage, catch a ball game, and find meaningful connections.
HMR has proudly provided management services to Colonel Robert L. Howard State Veterans Home on behalf of the Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs since facility construction was completed in 2012.
