Providing HMR Employees with financial support during unexpected circumstances, personal/family hardships and traumatic experiences.

MISSION

The Ed Childress Memorial Employee Assistance Fund (EAF) was established in 2007 to directly benefit the employees of HMR Veterans Services, Inc., affiliated companies and designated contractors when they deal with unexpected hardships that place financial stress on them and their families. The Fund helps cover expenses, lowers financial burdens and is available as a benefit to each and every employee of HMR.

HOW EMPLOYEES BENEFIT

HMR employees can apply and qualify when various unexpected or traumatic financial circumstances occur and they are eligible to receive a disbursement from the Employee Assistance Fund. 100% of your elected payroll deduction will assist a fellow employee in need.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Employees may initiate the process by requesting a printed application from EAF Board Member and returning the completed form. Completed forms are then submitted by the Board Member to the HMR Board Chairperson for review. All applications are and will remain confidential.

IN HONOR OF ED CHILDRESS

Talley Edward “Ed” Childress, III, was born in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1945. An avid Clemson fan, his love for the Tigers was only superseded by his love for the Lord and his family.

A statesman, philanthropist, and faithful servant, Ed was a pillar in the community and worked diligently to further the kingdom of God and the mission of veteran care, service and support that is offered through HMR Veterans Services. Since his death in 2008, Ed’s passionate, giving and generous spirit lives on through the establishment and operations of the Ed Childress Memorial Employee Assistance Fund.
